Exposure to different types of people in my experience makes for a more open-minded individual. That being said compared to other schools the diversity of socioeconomic class, ethnicities, and overall student body added to the overall culture of the school. There just wasn't much of an initiative to push students who weren't already on the honors track to pursue challenging courses or even extracurriculars. For a school with a large body of students of color, the ratio of these students in challenging classes could have been better. ![]() Read 681 reviewsĪlum: Throughout my high school career, there was an apparent difference between the students in honors and ap classes and the students in college prep classes. The teachers were always advertising their assistance to students if needed and now. I maintained a 4.0 gpa, stayed after school for extra help if needed, and kept in touch with my teachers. My sophomore year I was able to maintain a job outside of school while still doing my school work, it did get overwhelming and in result I dropped some clubs but by junior year things calmed down a bit more. Brownsburg had many clubs to offer just like colleges and you can always find one or many that fit you. ![]() During my freshman year I was very active in clubs and still am to this current day, I participated in cheer, a volunteering club, and many more after school activities to keep me active in my community. ![]() For starters, my school work was overbearing and sometimes hard to keep up with but, they had after school help and many programs and opportunities to keep you learning and improving. Senior: My experience at Brownsburg High School wasn’t all great but I wouldn’t change it.
